Killzone: Shadow Fall is a first-person shooter video game developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment and is a launch title for the PlayStation 4 console. It is the sixth game in the entire Killzone series and the fourth for home consoles.
Killzone: Shadow Fall is a first-person shooter. Guns such as, M82 Assault Rifle, stA-52 Assault Rifle, and stA-18 pistol are returning from earlier Killzone series. New weapons such as a recoil-free and hybrid assault/charge sniper rifle that built like an assault rifle size rail-gun. This had been shown on both of the gameplay demos. As well as the OWL, an advanced hovering attack drone used by the Shadow Marshals. It could attack, stun blast when its adjacent to an adversary, deploy an instant zip line, could shield the player from adversary's fire, and could hack/scan terminals.
Following the Petrusite detonation that rendered the planet Helghan uninhabitable, the ISA grants refuge to the Helghast survivors on the planet Vekta, allowing them to colonize half the planet. A massive security fortification called The Wall separates the two civilizations from each other, due to the resentment they bear over the previous war. Both the Vektans and Helghast routinely perform covert operations against each other in the hope of finishing the war they started.
The protagonist of Shadow Fall is Lucas Kellen, whose father was killed by Helghast soldiers during the forcible evacuation of Vektans from Helghan territory. He is adopted by Sinclair, a Shadow Marshal and later head of the Vektan Security Agency (VSA). Sinclair enrolls Lucas in the Shadow Marshal Academy, and the boy grows up to become one of his most trusted agents in the field.
The game takes place in 2390, as tensions between the Vektans and Helghast reach a boiling point. Lucas, who let himself be captured by the Helghast during an investigation, escapes during a botched prisoner exchange involving a half-Helghan agent codenamed Echo. He is ordered to return to the Helghan side of The Wall in order to wipe out any trace of another VSA operation there.
